American Pitbull Terrier Book - Character
Regarding the character of the APBT, according to the book American Pit Bull Terriers
pitbulls are "submissive, intelligent, and eager to please." Excerpt from the book:
"The APBT is a very stable dog with a solid temperment. The last figures I saw from the American Canine Termperament Testing Association showed the APBT ranking fourth in the list of breeds with the highest percentages of passing. A total of 95% of the APBT's tested passed, which is really saying something about the breed since the average for all breeds combined was only 77% passing."
