Blue Pitbull Puppy Update

Angel X Polu puppies are here. Angel looks great and so do the pups. They are all blue and there are 12 in all. From preliminary count, it looks like 7 females and 5 males. We do have pictures, but can't upload them to the computer right now. We will get them up here as soon as we can.

The last pup was just born within the past 5 minutes. We think she's done, but if not, you'll know tomorrow.

Please contact us if you are interested in a pup from this litter. Remember, this is the last chance to get a pup from this breeding. It will never happen again. Also - these pups are siblings to bullies such as Elekoni, Amaya, Storm, Squirt, and Koa.

Here's a picture of Angel that we took yesterday:

Angel's pups dropping now

One pup is out. Blue as can be. Already trying to nurse. Can't tell if male or female right now. I hope Allen comes home earlier from work today. That's all I have time to say right now. Will update you later tonight.

Blue Pitbull Jealousy

The day we took Mana to the cry to get his ears cropped, there was another older dog that was there. The nurse commented on how all the dogs that coming in that day were bigger dogs. She said there was a big blue boy in the back.

When we took Mana back to his kennel I got to see this other dog. He was huge with a nice big head to match. I couldn't help but take another look, this was a great looking dog. Very impressive. I was starting to feel a little bit of jealousy that someone else on the island had such a beautiful blue (and big to boot) that really did rival our dogs. I mean I've seen other nice dogs before and have admired them and thought they looked great, but also knew that our dogs were just as nice. Of course, I think ours are a little bit better, but I'm biased. But this dog - wow, he was an impressive boy. You could tell he's still a bit young and will fill out and probably muscle out a little more and look even better when he does.

After I left the vet, I called Allen to tell him about this dog. The next day when Allen went to pick Mana up, he got to see the dog and agreed that this dog was a nice, big, blue male. I was wishing we could find out who he belonged to.

Well, guess what? We just found out yesterday, that that big, beautiful, bully boy we saw with the nice head is KOA! Koa, from the same litter as Amaya, son of Angel and Polu. The last time we saw him he was only 4 months old (page 2 of picture gallery). At that time, he did have big paws, but he was looking like he might be on the taller/lean side. We knew he might also fill out and be thick, but we thought, if he did, it probably won't happen until about 18 mo - 2 years of age. I certainly did not expect his head to blow up the way it did. I didn't think it would be too small, but I didn't expect to see him later and think "Wow, he has a good size head."

Koa just made 1 year old in October. His owners have been in touch with us and are planning on sending over some pictures. When they do, we will definitely post them here so that you can see them. Needless to say, feeling of jealousy are gone. The beautiful male at the vet was produced right here by our own blues. We're happy to know that Koa went to a great home and is doing well!

Blue Fawn Pitbull Puppy has a Name

So we finally decided on a name. We let our oldest daughter kind of pick the name since she really, really wanted us to choose this girl from Koni's litter.

If we had gotten the boy, we were thinking of naming him "Bear." But since we didn't get the boy, we had to make a slight change. Our new pitbull puppy's name is:

Mahoe's Beautiful Little Bear

We also thought about Pumpkin, but I think that was just a little too cutsie for Allen to go along with. Anyway - that's her name. You can see more pictures of her up on the brand new Page 8 of our picture gallery. We also added her to our Females Page as well. Enjoy the pictures!

Surprise Blue Pitbull Litter?

Angel was beginning her heat when Allen and I went on vacation in early May. So she was due to go back into heat right about last week. But we think Polu may have left one last gift. Angel's belly is looking fat. She hasn't been around any males in a while. Ho'o and Li'i have just finished their heat, so Koni's been cabled up in his kennels for weeks. Also, tonight, we just noticed milk dripping from Angel. This usually means that she will give birth in about a week.

Surprising? Heck yeah! That means she went into heat about 2 months early. That's never happened before. We weren't even looking out for it because it wasn't time. We didn't bother to separate her from Polu. They always cruise together, but usually in the beginning of heat, we'll notice Angel growling at him every so often. That's part of what tips us that she's starting. That didn't happen this time either. Plus Angel is a very, very clean dog. Even if you're looking for a sign that she's in heat, you rarely see any blood. If she is indeed expecting a litter (and we've never seen milk except before a litter), it will be one, unexpected, final chance to get a puppy from an established, quality breeding pair, Angel and Polu.

As you've seen on this site, they've produced great looking pups such as:

Elekoni
Squirt
Storm
Shasta
Nenny
Amaya
Kaulike
and Roxy just to name a few.

So if Angel is having a litter, we'll definitely let you know. We're guessing it'll be in about a week. We'll be keeping a close eye on her as we can usually tell about a day or two before she's ready to have her pups. If our guess of about a week is right, pups will be ready right around the second week to mid-Jan. Here's a picture we just took of her tonight.

Mana and Puppy Meet the Pack

So the first meeting of the dogs went well. They all met each other. Everyone wanted to sniff Mana. Eventually he got to do some sniffing of his own, but he more or less just hung out, looked for Allen, and tried to follow him around.

The puppy was only introduced to Mana and Angel so far. She was sleeping when all the rest were having fun. We just brought her out after she woke up. The others were put away in their kennels and only Angel and Mana were out.

Anyway - here are some pics:

Mana meets the girls (Ho'o and Li'i)

Mana meets Koni (and Ho'o takes another look)

Then Puppy (we still don't have a name for her) came out and Mana checked her out

What a difference 4 months makes! Mana wasn't much bigger when he first got into Quanrantine.

Blue Fawn Pitbull Our Pick

So we finally decided on which pup from Elekoni's litter we'll be taking. I thought it was going to be a simple final decision. We had narrowed it down to either a male or female blue fawn pup. When we first saw them, we were leaning toward the male. I didn't even want to go back to take a second look, I was ready to just take the male on that one look. But Allen wanted to see them one more time. What happened? The male still looks great. He's so cute, has great looking stances and structure, AND he's very mellow (not at all a trouble maker). BUT, the female is just beautiful. It was such a tough, tough decision. I think we were there looking at the two of them for almost two hours.

Here's the two we were trying to decide between:

But we finally made our choice - and here she is:

So that male that we were debating over may very well still be available. People have put deposits down, but I don't think any of them were looking at him since they knew we might take him. There are still about 4 pups left that need good homes. But they will go fast. Most of the pups are going home to their new owners tomorrow once their very first vet visit and shot is taken care of. All of the pups look like they have good structure and nice stances. So if you are looking for a blue pitbull puppy and would like one from this litter, let us know. We will put you in touch with the owner and if you go check them out and see something you like, you'll probably be able to take the pup home right then and there. Again, the pups are going from $700-$900. I believe the runt will go for $700 and the runt is a blue male. He is smaller than the rest, but he's still a good looking pitbull puppy that will probably fill out nicely once he stops having to fight for food with his brothers and sisters.

Anyway - just wanted to show you the newest member of Mahoe's pits/808BluePitbull.com. We are still trying to decide on a name for her - suggestions are welcome. We'll get to bring her home tomorrow as well as Mana Loa! Two new pitbull puppies coming home in one day!

Roxy and Busta's Pups Dropped

Some of you may remember the breeding we talked about a few days ago in this post. Well, we just got word that the pups have dropped. Here are pics of the sire and dam.

This is Roxy - daughter of Angel and Polu.

Busta - some of you may remember Busta, we tried to breed him with Shasta, but that breeding didn't take. He and Roxy are both owned by Monty at Phenom Power Pits.

There were 9 pups all together.

A Day Out with Our Pitbull

Last week our kids had some days off of school and we took that opportunity to go out to the North Shore for some Garlic Shrimp and Shave Ice! Li'ili'i got to go on this outing with us. She's the easiest to take because of her size. The other dogs seems to draw so much attention, which isn't bad, but then some paranoid people always get worried and we're told we can't have them with us sometimes. It stinks because they don't bother anyone, they are on a leash, and often times there are other dogs around. So why make ours go home and accept the other foo-foo dogs?

Anyway - thankfully, there were no issues on this outing. It was a nice day. Here's a picture.

The Original Blue Pitbull Picture

Okay so the picture of Amaya that is mentioned in the post below is actually a cropped version of the photo shown here. This is the photo that was sent to us by Amaya's owner, Danny. It's Amaya as a pup sitting next to her older sister Nenny.

Everything Outkast Using our Pitbull Picture

We just found out this morning that Everthing Outkast is using a picture from our site at
http://www.everything-outkast.com/outkast-pitbull.html

I know, I know, I'm sending them traffic by posting that link, but you have to see it.

The picture shown there was first posted on our blog in Feb. 2006. See our February Archives for that post.

Now, Amaya is a great looking pitbull and I can understand why they want her picture on their website, but at least give credit where credit is due.

The picture shown was cropped by me. The original picture is actually of Amaya and Nenny, but I cut it down to show just Amaya. If you look at the picture good, you can see that Amaya is sitting next to another dog (you can see part of that dog on the right edge of the picture). Now I have the full picture (as Amaya's owner Danny sent to me), but I'm not going to post that until I have it watermarked - then we'll show it to you.

Nowhere on the page does the site claim that Amaya belongs to them or that she was produced there, but the fact that her picture is on their site has people wondering who she really belongs to. I know because I had someone ask.

Now of course, we have many more pictures of Amaya that Everything-Outkast doesn't have (yet - I say yet, because he can always wrongfully come here, copy them, and post those to his site too).

Here's one of Amaya, Nenny, and Tank (remember, Tank is Li'ili'i and Ho'omalu's brother from the same litter). http://www.808bluepitbull.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

Then there's a pic of her on the bottom of the 2nd page of our Pitbull Gallery (this one is taken by my own camera in my driveway).

There is also a pic of her on the top of the 3rd page of our Pitbull Gallery - again, taken in my driveway with my camera when Danny, Amaya's owner, brought her over to visit.

Now it does say on the bottom of our website pages that no portion of the site may be copied or reproduced, All Rights Reserved. But like I said, I think Amaya's owner wouldn't mind, and neither would we, if they kept the picture up but insert text that says:

Amaya - Owned by Danny (HI)
Produced by Mahoe's 808BluePitbull.com

Whadda ya say Everything-Outkast?

Mana Comes Home in Less Than 2 Weeks

November 20th is Mana's scheduled release date. Allen already has plans to go straight to the Quarantine after work to pick him up! That's less than two weeks away and just in time for Thanksgiving. I can't wait! I'm sure he'll be much happier here as he'll have more of a chance to use up that energy that pitbulls have, not to mention go for walks!

Anyway - here is a recent picture we took of Mana Loa this past week.

Another pitbull breeding

Aloha,

We just wanted to let you guys know about a breeding we just heard about. If this breeding is successful, the pups should be unreal! Some of you may remember Roxy. She is pictured in our Picture Gallery. She is the daughter of Angel and Polu (Elekoni's Younger Sister). We just found out from her owner, Monty at Phenom Power Pits, that she was bred.

If and when pups drop, we'll let you know. From the looks of it, we do think she's carrying pups, but we'll let you know more details once we know for sure that the breeding was successful.

At that time, we will begin giving out contact information and let you know who the sire of the litter is as well. For now, here is an updated picture of Roxy. She looks great!

New pictures of Mana and Ho'o Blue Pitbulls

Aloha,

As promised here are some recent pictures of Ho'omalu and Mana Loa. We took these pictures in October. Ho'o is just making 7 months in these and Mana is about 5 months. It's really tough to get a picture of Ho'omalu straight on for some reason. We'll have to keep trying. Mana is also not an easy guy to get pictures of. Maybe once he's home here with us it'll be easier. He gets released from the Quarantine this month!

Koni's Litter - Male Pitbull Puppies

Here are the male pitbull puppies from Elekoni's litter. There are 7 altogether. As part of our stud agreement, we do get one pick from the litter. We are leaning toward either the male shown here (we'll make a note) or the Fawn Female shown in the female puppy post.

Again, if you would like a pup from this litter, the person to contact is Skip. E-mail us if you need is phone number. He is taking deposits and will be showing the pups to interested, responsible owners.

Fawn Male - I love the toes on this guy, blue tips/nails!

Blue Male - white chin

Blue Male - Cute face, small white marking on chest

Blue Male - Triangle Marking on Chest

And this is the guy we're thinking of keeping as our pick

Koni's Litter - Female Pitbull Puppies

Here are the much awaited pictures of the pitbull puppies from Elekoni's litter. This post contains pictures of the Female Puppies in this litter. If you are interested in a Male, there is a separate blog post with pictures of the male pitbull puppies. Also note that we do NOT stretch or widen our pictures in any way. All we do is crop them and shrink them down for faster loading on the internet.

If you are interested in a puppy from this litter, I strongly suggest contacting the dam's owner, Skip as soon as possible. He is now taking deposits and can arrange to show the puppies as well. E-mail us if you need his phone number. These pups are scheduled to have their first vet visit on November 20th and can be picked up to take home after the vet visit is complete.

New pictures of Li'ili'i

Here are a couple of pictures of Li'ili'i that we took in October. She is still very short, but is nicely proportioned. We'll also be posting new pictures of Mana and Ho'omalu soon as well.

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween. No, we did not dress up the dogs.
