Mana X Shasta Litter SOLD OUT

Well, it's official, all puppies from the Mana X Shasta litter have been spoken for and deposits sent in! They are now 5 weeks old and will start going to their new homes next week. If you are one of the new owners to these pups, please keep in touch with us! We'd love to see how they are doing.

If you missed out on a puppy from this litter, we are expecting another litter in about a week (Li'i X Tubbs). This litter will also go VERY QUICKLY. We'll certainly send out a notification to our mailing list as well as post information here on the blog when the puppies do arrive. We've been asked if we can take deposits now, but because Li'i is such a compact dog and a number of picks are already going to the owner of the stud and to us, we really don't know how many picks will be left. If Li'i has 6 or more puppies, there will be a few available, but those pups will not last long, so please contact us as soon as you hear about the puppies arrival if you want to reserve a puppy.

Also, in all likelyhood, this will be the ONE AND ONLY time we get to do this breeding. From what we understand, this is the last time the sire of the litter will stud out. Li'i is Razor's Edge and Tubbs is a solid, known producer from the Sierra/Gaff lines. Both sire and dam are muscular in build so we're expecting some awesome puppies. Pricing on this litter will probably be about the same as the Mana X Shasta litter.

Only TWO pups left ~ Blue Males

Well, as we thought, the pups are going quick. All we have left available are TWO BLUE MALES. Here are their pictures.

First Male Born
He may not be the biggest right now, but he is the bluest of the litter and is well put together.

This is the male with the most white and probably one of the best markings of all the pups.

Available Puppies - Gotti/Sierra

Here are the puppies that are still available. Males on the top, females on the bottom.

The numbers on the pictures are simply birth order. That's the way we've numbered them since they were born and just stuck with it. It is NOT an indication of "pick" order. It's just a way to identify the puppies in the pictures so that when people call we know exactly which puppy they are talking about.

First showing of the puppies is THIS SUNDAY (May 20th)!

Price: $1200-$1500
Deposit: half down required to reserve the puppy you want - balance due upon pick up of the puppy.

All puppies will be taken to a vet for exam, worming, first shots, and heart guard at 6 weeks. They will be released to their new owners once that vet visit has been completed.

Of the pups left, breeder favorites are: Champagne male, #3 male, #2 Champagne female.

Though the other pups have great qualities too. Right now the Male 1 is smaller than the rest, but he still looks great and could very well catch up to his littermates in the weeks to come. The biggest champagne female is also nice. She has "better" markings and size compared to the other champagne female, but for some reason the smaller one catches our eye. Female #3 is also "different" from the rest because of the marking on her chest. The rest of them sort of trail down from their throat and hers is just a nice patch right there on her chest. At the moment she is the ONLY blue female still available.

Hot Picks for the Mana X Shasta Litter

Well, it looks like the two champagne females will be the first females to go. We have two people who said they want one of the champagne females and will send in their deposit by the end of the week (plus a number of others who keep calling about those saying that they want one). We'll see if the expected deposits come in or if someone else will get those picks.

Also, my two favorite picks for the males (#2 and #4) are getting lots of inquiries. Most people that want males are looking at either one of those two picks even though the champagne male is the biggest of the litter to date.

So far we don't have anyone who has secured their favorite with a deposit. Some are coming from the outer islands so there is the mail issue, but we'll be showing the puppies next weekend and if puppies haven't already been reserved by then, they'll definitely go quick once we show them. It's funny, the first pup born is now one of the smallest and the last pup born (champagne male) is the biggest right now. He's just about 3 lbs at 2 weeks.

No Pitbulls are Good with Children...

OMG - if I didn't just see that statement made on a message board and get very upset! The person said that her father had a pitbull who was nice and great with people, but terrible with children. She saw the dog nip at chidren on 3 different occasions so the pitbull is always put in a closed room when kids are around. She went on to say that pits see children as little animals instead of as humans and that's why you always hear stories of attacks on children.

If your dog (pit or not) has "issues" with kids, then they have dominance/aggression issues in general that need to be addressed. They are not "balanced" dogs.

You better believe I responded to that post and said that that statement was ABSOLUTELY FALSE.

Then I posted these pictures...























Now this person was posting her statement in response to someone else who was concerned for a family member's new baby. She said that their pit was hyper and aggressive. She also said that this dog had attacked and killed a number of small animals, but that the owners "swear" the dog has mellowed out. She also said that they worship their dog and never discipline it.

Now I don't care what kind of dog that is...pit or not...I would also be concerned. Not so much because they own a pit, but because of "how" they own this dog and because they are obviously not giving the dog what it needs to be a balanced/happy DOG.

Would I trust my kids with that dog? Pit or other breed, NO WAY. But DO NOT say that NO pits are good with children because that is simply NOT TRUE. It's owners like the one above though, that give the breed a bad name and result in "incidents" that can be very dangerous.

We've had some requests for more pictures of the males from the litter. So, here they are. These pictures were taken May 2nd, so the pups are a week and a half old (10 days).

Personally, I think #2 is the pick. But, the 3rd one has great white markings and the 4th has a good looking head and the 5th is unique....okay so I like them all.... lol

808 Blue Pitbull Going to Japan

Well...not us, but one of our puppies. The last puppy from our last litter was purchased by a guy in Japan. Only thing...Japan needed 40 days notice before we could send her. So today was the day we took her to the airport to start her journey to her new home in Japan.

I hope she has a good trip. Bye bye Blue Ribbon (that's the name the guy in Japan gave her).
