Website Updates

We've been so busy that there hasn't been much time to update the website with new pictures and information. However, we got a little bit of it done.

Our breedings page has been updated with breedings we're looking to do in the next year.

Also, now that we have Diamond and a few updated pictures of Beautiful, we updated our Females page as well.

So if you haven't been to the site in a while or have been waiting for some updated information, go check out those pages....

We just wanted to share an update we got from the owner of one of Koni's Daughters. This female is owned by Greg Strickland of Loyalty Blue Kennels. He is located on the island of Kauai.

There are pictures of Koni's daughter up on his Females page. Her name is Kava and I can't wait to see her mature! She's going to be beautiful. Thanks to Greg and his gang for taking good care of her. Visit Greg's website at http://www.loyaltybluekennels.com/.

Bullies In Paradise - Great Job

Allen and I spent the day in Hilo on Saturday for the Bullies in Paradise event. It was a lot of fun and the kennels up on the Big Island did a good job of putting everything together. We only wish we were able to take at least one of our dogs with us, but maybe next time.

Just wanted to say "Thank you" to all the kennels on the Big Island for everything....also "Thanks" to the Hawaii's Strongest Dog crew for letting us hang out in the tent 'cuz otherwise we would have been completely toasted!

Anyway - we're looking forward to the next bash here on O'ahu which is scheduled for October at Waianae High School as well as the next Hawaii's Strongest Dog event which will take place on November 18th at King Intermediate.

We'll keep you posted on the upcoming events as we get more information and as the time gets closer.

Here's a picture from the Bullies in Paradise event.

Great BSL Comment

Okay - yet another recent article about BSL. This time it's from Canada which already has laws banning certain breeds.

But I wanted to share my favorite quote from this article....

"To label an entire breed as dangerous because a few poorly-bred, untrained, improperly socialized dogs cause problems is like labeling all human individuals within a specific ethnic group as lazy or violent."

This article also gives an example on the shortfalls on BSL - read it at Osprey Media.

Mayor of Indiana Recants Call for Ban on Pitbulls

I just read an article at IndyStar.com and I wish more people would take the stance shared in this article - IT MAKES SENSE.

A Breed Specific Legislation punishes the majority of law-abiding citizens and only "declares war" on an entire breed because of the irresponsibility of a few, misguided owners.
