Mana/Lii Puppies are Here!

Yes, they are here and they arrived safely on August 23rd.  Mama Lii is doing well and so are the puppies.  There are 7 in all (4 Females, 3 Males).  It's funny...last time we bred her with a fawn (Tubbs) and she had black & white and blue & white pups.  This time, we breed her with a blue and we've got some interesting colors (and no blues).  You'll see in these pics...

Here's a picture that we took just a few days ago. I think we're expecting some Lii/Mana puppies.



Now Lii is looking promising and Diamond not so much. Before it was the other way around. But now Lii's tummy is getting fat and Diamond pretty much looks the same as she did a few weeks ago, so we're losing hope with her.

If Diamond didn't catch though, expect to see her pulling this year!

New Picture of Little Miss

Here's a long awaited new picture of Little Miss (Moose's sister). She is out of Pacific Pitbull Kennels, Geronimo x Niki. She certainly has a different build from her brother, but she has a nice structure none-the-less. Miss has yet to go into her first heat and she is already 9 months old. So, she probably won't be ready to breed until next year when she'll be even more matured.

We're working on putting together a breeding for her. If we can swing it, it'll be a good one. We'll keep you updated on those plans as they unfold.

For now though, we're just continuing to work with her and train her and even work her out in a harness as well. She likes it. I don't know that she'll be super strong, but she's one of the FASTEST dogs we have in the yard! Oh, and she's one of our raw eating dogs. I really do think it's doing her some good too.

New Picture of Fella

Here's a couple new pictures we have of Fella. He is now 9 months old and getting the hang of posing for pictures LOL.

He is also working on weight pulling. He wasn't interested when we first tried working with him, but now he's more into it, so it's a good way for him to get some exercise!

If you're not familiar with Fella, he is Ganghis Kon/Razor's and will be 1 year old on September 21st. He's already getting stud inquiries and we're looking forward to seeing what he can do as a stud.

If you're interested in using Fella as a stud, give Allen a call at 808-864-2848. We plan on bringing Fella out to one of the dog events that are going on this year. We're not sure which ones yet. We'll keep you updated on that though.

It's On - Mana x Lii

This is a breeding we tried before, but since we didn't really have our own place for breeding at that time, we didn't let them hook up naturally and it didn't take.

So this time around, we decided to let Mana and Lii do their thing. We mentioned last week that we'd be doing this breeding, and now it's happening!

Mana Loa is a Notorious Juan Gotty Grandson out of Mikeland's Blue Gator and Mikeland's Sammara.

Li'i is a Razor's Edge/Sierra-Gaff female. Last time we bred her with Tubbs and she had just 4 pups. If you've ever seen Lii, you know she's not a huge female, so we're really don't expect big litters out of her. If this breeding does take, we do believe that availability will be limited.

New 808 Blue Pitbull Shirts

We have some new shirts being worked on and hope to have them by the end of September. Here's a little preview of what's going to be on the shirt. The image has been shrunk to fit in this post, but you can click it to get a better view.

Still growin...

Moose and Maui

Two different subjects, but we're going to talk about both in the same post.

First, Maui
It's almost time to go to Maui! Unfortunately, we won't be able to take Diamond as planned. We wanted to take her up so that she could pull. BUT, she just went into heat, so we can't take her. Will we be breeding her? Ahhh, check back here over the course of the week to get the answer to that question. That's a little off topic though so let's get back to Maui...if you're going up, be sure to stop by and say, "Hello." Hopefully, we don't get lost because we really have no idea how to get to the event from the airport, but it's going to be at War Memorial. There are actually quite a few people from O'ahu going up there. I think we'll have a fun day. We'll try to take pictures and let you know how it went. One thing I know for sure...Allen is going to say at least once that day something along the lines of, "I wish I could've brought Diamond." Anyway - like I said, we'll let you know how it went.

On to Moose
Isn't he a handsome guy? I know, I'm a little biased, but I still think he's a handsome guy. Apparently other people think he's a handsome guy too because we already have people telling us they want puppies from him and we already have people wanting to use him as a stud for their female. Of course, he's not quite ready now, but if you have a female that will be ready toward the end of the year.....Moose may very well be ready then! Stud fee will probably run about $1500 - call for other options.

Pitbull Picture - Miss Ella

Here's an updated picture of Ella. Actually, it's a week or so old. We really do need to take new pictures of them again. I just haven't had time to get them posted. They are "growing up" so fast! These are the pups from the Beautiful/Rocko breeding we did. In this picture, Ella is 9 weeks old.



We have a couple of pictures of Baloo (Ella's brother) that we'll share in our next post. He's still not as tall or long as she is, but his girth is catching her up.

Pitbull Moose Playing Water

It's either been hot or super rainy. This picture was obviously taken on one of the hot afternoons. We were just playing around with the water and cooling off the dogs and ourselves. Our kids had lots of fun in the water too, but here's a picture of Moose trying to get a piece of that water.

This is Mana, Lii, and Diamond playing around one afternoon. Of course, we didn't really shut the gate in their face, it's just how they run up to the fence whenever they play. It just turned out to be a funny pitbull picture I thought you'd enjoy.

Blue Pitbull Picture - Fella and Mana

We had to share this picture too. We took this one that night we were taking all the group shots. This is a picture of Fella (left) and Mana (right).

Remember, Lil Fella is just 7 months old in this picture. He is our Razor's Edge/Ganghis Kon "puppy." This guy is still growing and filling in. Mana Loa is almost 2 in this shot although he seems to still be maturing as well, he's certainly not still growing at the rate that Fella is.

Many times we are asked what and how much Fella and Moose eat. Right now we have them on Nutro High Energy dog food since Nutro stopped making their Venison food. Since Moose and Fella are still puppies, we feed them 2-3 times a day for a TOTAL of about 6 cups of food per day. According to the feeding guidelines on the bag, dogs the size and age of Moose and Fella should eat 6-8 cups a day. So there is no need to go way above and beyond that for your dog to maintain and healthy growth rate. On occassion, we can tell they are going through a growth spurt because they eat more toward that 8 cup mark rather than the 5-6 cup quantity.

But that's a bit off topic....here's the picture I was talking about.

Since our other post showed a picture of Allen and the Boyz, you know we had to follow that up with Allen and the Girls. This picture doesn't show all of our girls, but we do have another one that includes Diamond which we will share in another post. Of course, that's still not everyone, but that's all we got this time around.

New Picture of Moose

Before I get to some of the other pictures we got on "group shot" night, I forgot that I had this one of Moose ready to share with you.

Moose is our Gotty male out of Pacific Pitbull Kennels. His sire is Geronimo (Juan Gotty son) and his dam is Nikki (Monster daughter).

Moose and Miss (our blue tri, Moose's sister) are now 7 months old. However, this picture of Moose was taken last month when he was just 6 months old. Both Moose and Miss are doing well. Moose got a lot of attention when we took him out to the pet expo this past weekend.

We're also already getting inquiries about Moose for stud. His stud fee will most likely run about $1500. Of course, how payment is made can be negotiated (i.e. cash + picks if you don't want to pay the fee outright). Anyway - on to the picture we got of Moose last month. You can kind of see it in the upper left corner of the picture (Mana's leg), but he's looking for/at Mana.

Here is a picture of our daughter Allicia helping us get Lii into a group photo. Allicia kept asking us and asking us if Lii can be her dog since our oldest daughter has her own dog (Beautiful). So finally we agreed and now she is responsible for helping to feed and take care of Liilii.

New Picture of Moose

Moose is now 5 months old. Here's a picture we took of him on April 1st. Like Fella, he was about 50 lbs last time we weighed him over a month ago. He'll also be ready to stud to approved females by the end of the year (Gotty Grandson).

New Picture of Lil Fella

Here a new picture of Lil Fella. He is 6 months old now (Ganghis Kon/Razor's Edge). Look for him to be ready to stud to approved females by the end of the year. We weighed him about a month or so ago and he was 50 lbs. Looks like he's picked up weight since then.

Upcoming Pitbull Events in Hawaii

I meant to write about this earlier, but the LAST day of the Big Boys Big Toys show at Blaisdell Exhibition is tomorrow (Sunday). We probably won't be there, but we were there today. We had lots of fun. If you can make it down there, it's on from 11-4 tomorrow. Hawaii's Strongest Dog is there as well as some of the Team FBIers.



The next event is April 19th. There is a weight pulling competition in Hilo. Allen is going to check out that event.

The other one coming up that we know about is the Bullies in Paradise in Hilo. That one is July 19 & 20 if I'm not mistaken. We plan to attend that one as well.

Also, there is an Ultimate Hawaiian Island Bullies show coming up on November 8th. I don't have all the details on that one yet, but we are planning to be a part of that event as well.

So there is a TON going on this year. Hope to see you at one of the events!

New Picture of "She-Mo"

Here's a new picture of She-Mo at 12 weeks. She is the half sister to the pups that Beautiful is expecting (same sire). I'm sure this looks just like those stretched pictures you see on other sites, BUT, it's not. It's just how she stands and if you've seen her sire or her brothers or sisters, you'd know they're wiiiiide.

Mana X Lii - Breeding this Week

We have our Mana Loa X Liilii breeding going down this week. Mana Loa is a Notorious Juan Gotty grandson. He is the son if Mikeland's Blue Gator and Mikeland's Sammara. Liilii is 75% Razors Edge and 25% Sierra/Gaff.

If the breeding takes, the pups are expected about mid-March.

On our Produced Page you can see pictures of dogs that were produced from Lii's last breeding (with Tubbs) and Mana's last breeding (with Shasta Girl). This is the first time these two will cross, but we think it'll be a great mix and will produce some great offspring.

It's the New Girl

Ahhhh yes. A while back (in this post) we mentioned that we were looking forward to the pick up of two females and that you'd be meeting them soon. We'll it's time to meet the first one. She is 13 weeks old right now and has been with us for about a week now. She's doing great and she's beautiful. About a year ago I told Allen that, if we had a chance to get a champagne colored dog, I wanted one. Just a few months later, Mana's litter threw champagnes and we got Champ. The other coloring I wanted if we ever got a chance was a tri-color. I never thought we'd have the chance to buy one here. I thought we'd have to bring one in from the mainland. BUT....look what we got...



Not only is she a tri, she's a blue tri-color and a Notorious Juan Gotty granddaughter on top of that! We're very happy to have her. She is Moose's sister. In fact, she's the one we originally wanted from the litter, but when we inquired about her, she was spoken for. Then, after we had Moose a few days, the breeder called and said her original buyer backed out. Kealii over at Pacific Pitbull Kennels knew we were interested her, so he gave us the first chance to pick her up when she became available. Thanks again to Pacific Pitbull Kennels!

Mana Loa at a Photo Shoot

We were invited to bring one of our top dogs to a recent photo shoot done here in Hawaii for a new clothing line. The photo shoot was for Get 'Em Boy Ltd and quite a few great looking dogs came out for the shoot. It was fun to be a part of that experience and, of course, it's always enjoyable to see that many awesome pits in one place. Here's what they did with one of the shots with Mana Loa.

808 Produced - Leif

We got a visit last week from one of Angel X Polu's kids (and his owners of course). It's always nice to see pups as they get older. We are always interested to know how they are doing and love to get pictures. However, when we get to see them in person it's a special treat. So thank you to Rick and Sarah for taking great care of Leif and for bringing him by to see us every now and then.

Here are some pictures from Leif's visit. He was from Angel's last litter and is just over a year old in these pictures. He's growing into a big boy. When he went to the vet a few months ago, he was already pushing 90 lbs!

Back From Vacation with Pictures of Squirt

So we're finally getting back in the groove of daily life after our vacation. While on vacation we finally got to see Squirt in person again. Last time we saw him he was only about 8 weeks old. Since then we've only seen a few pictures. So we were glad to be able to check him out.

Of course, we brought back some pictures of him from New Jersey. For those of you who don't know who Squirt is, he is Elekoni's littermate (brother). Here are his pictures from the trip.

Well the whole time we were trying to take those pics, Angel was in the area just hanging around so he decided to pick her up too. Well, as we thought, the pups are going quick. All we have left available are TWO BLUE MALES. Here are their pictures.

He may not be the biggest right now, but he is the bluest of the litter and is well put together.

This is the male with the most white and probably one of the best markings of all the pups.

Here are the puppies that are still available. Males on the top, females on the bottom.

The numbers on the pictures are simply birth order. That's the way we've numbered them since they were born and just stuck with it. It is NOT an indication of "pick" order. It's just a way to identify the puppies in the pictures so that when people call we know exactly which puppy they are talking about.

First showing of the puppies is THIS SUNDAY (May 20th)!

Price: $1200-$1500
Deposit: half down required to reserve the puppy you want - balance due upon pick up of the puppy.

All puppies will be taken to a vet for exam, worming, first shots, and heart guard at 6 weeks. They will be released to their new owners once that vet visit has been completed.

Of the pups left, breeder favorites are: Champagne male, #3 male, #2 Champagne female.

Though the other pups have great qualities too. Right now the Male 1 is smaller than the rest, but he still looks great and could very well catch up to his littermates in the weeks to come. The biggest champagne female is also nice. She has "better" markings and size compared to the other champagne female, but for some reason the smaller one catches our eye. Female #3 is also "different" from the rest because of the marking on her chest. The rest of them sort of trail down from their throat and hers is just a nice patch right there on her chest. Pitbull Puppy Picks Going

We expect to have deposits for 1st and 3rd pick male as well as 1st pick female (champagne color) by the end of next week. If you are interested in puppies from this Gotti/Sierra litter, please let us know as soon as possible. Remember there are 5 males and 4 females total.

Possible New Litter

Just wanted to let you know that we may be having another litter in 2 weeks. This would be a breeding between Mahoe's Shasta Girl X Mahoe's Mana Loa.

Shasta Girl is the daughter of Angel and Polu and littermate to Elekoni (Sierra/Gaff, granddaughter of Hawaiian Rhino). You can see a picture of her on our females page.

Mana Loa is a Gotti male and grandson to the Notorious Juan Gotti. His sire is Mikeland's Blue Gator.

These pups should drop right around April 22nd. We didn't mention it earlier because we've tried to breed Shasta before and she's never caught. But we recently checked up on her and she's looking like she may have this time. Here's a picture we took of her a few days ago when Allen was checking up on her.

Breeding Announcement

We took Li'ili'i for a breeding this weekend. Hopefully she gets caught. She was bred with Tubbs, a well known, local Sierra/Gaff male who is an established producer. If this breeding is successful, pups should drop around the first week of June. Here is a picture of Tubbs.

Blue Pitbull Pictures

Here are a few more recent pictures of the dogs. This is another one of Beautiful and Mana Loa. I have no idea what they are looking at, but it sure isn't me trying to take their picture that they're focused on.




Here is one of Elekoni from the pull on Sunday. He didn't compete, but he met a bunch of pals.
Remember, he is Beautiful's sire, so we have a picture of father and daughter in this post. :)

It's been a while since we got pictures of Beautiful up. She's always playing in the dirt and mud, so I give up trying to get pictures of her when she's clean. Anyway, she was out playing with the other dogs the other day and here are some of the pictures we got. She just made 5 months.

New Pics of Li'i and Ho'o

Took some pictures of Li'ili'i and Ho'omalu yesterday (Razors/Sierra). I think they look the same as others we have, but here they are anyway.

Mana and Shasta's Play Date

Mana and Shasta got together over the weekend for a play date. Here are some of the pictures of them. Remember, Shasta is Koni's sister and is produced by Polu Boy X Hawaiian Angel. They had fun running around, but Shasta is definitely much faster than Mana Loa. Maybe it's because Mana Loa isn't even a year old yet, but Shasta was running circles around him. Here are the pictures from the weekend.

Also, Shasta's beginning her heat, so we may breed the two of them for Mana's first breeding.

We don't have as many pictures of Angel as we do of the boys. She simply doesn't pose as much as they do. But here are a couple I took this month.

More Pitbull Puppy Pictures

Okay - here are a few more pictures of the puppies we have left. They were posing today, so I just shot off a few pictures. Not the best lighting, but still better than no pictures right?

The pup all the way to the right is the male. The other two are the females.

Three Pups Available

We've still been getting inquiries about pups and requests for new pictures. So here is the picture of the three pups we have available. They are now 10 weeks old. We have 2 females and 1 male. They've all been examined by a vet, got 1st and 2nd shots, and have been wormed.

The male is $900 and the females are $1000. Call Allen at 808-864-2848 to arrange to see the pups or to get more information.

New Picture of Mana Loa (Gotti Grandson)

Just wanted to share a couple picture of Mana Loa that we took today. Mana is now 8 months old and will be 9 months later this month.

Pics of Koa - Angel X Polu

Some of you may remember Koa. We've posted pictures of him on the blog before and he's also in our picture gallery. But we got a chance to see him this weekend and got a couple of updated pictures. Remember, Koa was produced here at Mahoe's 808BluePitbulls.com by the breeding of Hawaiian Angel X Polu Boy.

From what he understand, Koa likes to go running. He runs up to 25 miles per week! Koa is owned by Steve G and his wife and currently resides in Ewa (HI). Here are the pics we got.

Spiked Leather Harness for Koni

It's pretty tough to find good looking spiked leather harnesses for pitbulls here. But we were able to get one for Koni this weekend! From what we understand, the person who sold us the harness will have a website up soon. So if you're in Hawaii looking for a great leather harness or collar for your pitbull, check back with us later. If we find out about this guy's website going up, we'll let you know here at the blog.
