Moving Fast

Wow! People are moving fast! We already have 2 deposits in for Lii x Mana's litter.

First Pick Male is going to Caleb M.
2nd pick (either male or female, they haven't decided yet) is also already spoken for.

First Pick Female is still open. Deposits can be sent via the internet with debit or credit card on our Puppies Page (scroll to the bottom). We also accept cashier's checks or money orders by mail (contact us for a mailing address), or cash in person.

7 pups is quite a few for Lii, but there have been people on our mailing list who wanted to put deposits down before we even did the breeding. So if you are serious about getting a pick from this litter, don't wait too long!

It seems that I left out some pertinent information in my last post about the puppies.  People are writing to us asking how much they are.  That would be good to know right?  I'll tell ya.  This litter will be priced at $1200-$1500.  

A non-refundable deposit can reserve a pick for you.  IF you do put a deposit down, please be prepared to be at the FIRST showing to make your pick.  Right now the first showing is tentatively scheduled for September 19th (Friday evening).

Mana/Lii Puppies are Here!

Yes, they are here and they arrived safely on August 23rd.  Mama Lii is doing well and so are the puppies.  There are 7 in all (4 Females, 3 Males).  It's funny...last time we bred her with a fawn (Tubbs) and she had black & white and blue & white pups.  This time, we breed her with a blue and we've got some interesting colors (and no blues).  You'll see in these pics...

Lii's Belly

Here's a picture that we took just a few days ago. I think we're expecting some Lii/Mana puppies.



Now Lii is looking promising and Diamond not so much. Before it was the other way around. But now Lii's tummy is getting fat and Diamond pretty much looks the same as she did a few weeks ago, so we're losing hope with her.

If Diamond didn't catch though, expect to see her pulling this year!

Blue Pitbull Female Puppy For Sale

We now have Ella and Baloo's sister back up for sale (the one we call "Phantom"). Here are some of the old pictures of her. We'll try to get some new ones taken soon.

She was born on March 20, so she will be 4 months old on the 20th of this month. She is done with her puppy vaccinations and is ready to go to a new home.

Selecting a Breeder

I recently read an interesting article related to how to select a breeder and a puppy. This was geared mostly toward working German Shepard puppies, but I think there is some very good general information in there and a lot that I agree with.

The article talks about the different reasons breeders are "in business" and we talked about this a little in another blog post, but I think this article sums it up and reiterates it nicely.

It also talks about a few signs of a "good litter" and characteristics you'd like to see in puppies and in the kennel you're going into.

It's On - Mana x Lii

This is a breeding we tried before, but since we didn't really have our own place for breeding at that time, we didn't let them hook up naturally and it didn't take.

So this time around, we decided to let Mana and Lii do their thing. We mentioned last week that we'd be doing this breeding, and now it's happening!

Mana Loa is a Notorious Juan Gotty Grandson out of Mikeland's Blue Gator and Mikeland's Sammara.

Li'i is a Razor's Edge/Sierra-Gaff female. Last time we bred her with Tubbs and she had just 4 pups. If you've ever seen Lii, you know she's not a huge female, so we're really don't expect big litters out of her. If this breeding does take, we do believe that availability will be limited.

Pitbull Puppy Picture - Baloo

Pitbull Picture - Miss Ella

Here's an updated picture of Ella. Actually, it's a week or so old. We really do need to take new pictures of them again. I just haven't had time to get them posted. They are "growing up" so fast! These are the pups from the Beautiful/Rocko breeding we did. In this picture, Ella is 9 weeks old.



We have a couple of pictures of Baloo (Ella's brother) that we'll share in our next post. He's still not as tall or long as she is, but his girth is catching her up.

They're Getting Bigger - Puppy Pictures

Puppies are so cute at this age. They are more sturdy on their feet. They play with each other. They devour their food. They respond when you come by. Here are a couple new pictures we just took a few days ago. The puppies are 5 weeks today.

Li'i X Tubbs Puppies Dropping

Today is the day that Li'i X Tubbs puppies are being born. So far there are four, 2 males, 2 females. I think there's a possibility, she may be done. Either that, or she's taking a very relaxing break. The two girls were born first (one black and white, one blue and white), then the two boys (the first one was blue, the second all black except the chest). The boys are already latched on and eating! They all look very strong and Li'i is doing a great job taking care of them.

Will post again if there is an update later.

Here are the puppies that are still available. Males on the top, females on the bottom.

The numbers on the pictures are simply birth order. That's the way we've numbered them since they were born and just stuck with it. It is NOT an indication of "pick" order. It's just a way to identify the puppies in the pictures so that when people call we know exactly which puppy they are talking about.

First showing of the puppies is THIS SUNDAY (May 20th)!

Price: $1200-$1500
Deposit: half down required to reserve the puppy you want - balance due upon pick up of the puppy.

All puppies will be taken to a vet for exam, worming, first shots, and heart guard at 6 weeks. They will be released to their new owners once that vet visit has been completed.

Of the pups left, breeder favorites are: Champagne male, #3 male, #2 Champagne female.

Though the other pups have great qualities too. Right now the Male 1 is smaller than the rest, but he still looks great and could very well catch up to his littermates in the weeks to come. The biggest champagne female is also nice. She has "better" markings and size compared to the other champagne female, but for some reason the smaller one catches our eye. Female #3 is also "different" from the rest because of the marking on her chest. The rest of them sort of trail down from their throat and hers is just a nice patch right there on her chest. At the moment she is the ONLY blue female still available.
